found this from someone's blog. so sweet right. so nostalgic. =) how i wish we were back to the old days. kids nowadays are too matured for their own good. boo! and the cartoons now can never be compared to what we used to watch. haha. i love primary school days! =)

Fond memories for those who born in the 70s and 80s.
-You grew up watching He-man, MASK, Transformers, carebears, animaniacs, darkwinged duck, masked rider, power rangers, and Mickey Mouse. Not to forget, Ninja turtles, captain planet, ultraman, MyLittle Pony and Smurfs too.
-You grew up brushing your teeth with a mugin Primary school during recess time. You will squat by a drain with all your classmates beside you, and brush your teeth with a coloured mug.The teachers said you must brush each side 10 times too.
-all the primary 6 pupils have to wash the toilets. and we wash ourselves instead of the toilet.
-You pay 40 cents for Chocolate or Strawberry MILK every week in class.
-SBS buses used to be non-airconditioned. The bus seats are made of wood and the cushion is red. The big red bell gives a loud BEEP! when pressed. There are colourful tickets forTIBS buses. The conductor will check for tickets by using a machine which punches a hole in the ticket.
-Envelopes given to us to donate to Sharity Elephant everyChildren's Day.-You've probably read Young Generation magazine.You know who's Vinny the little vampire and Acai the constable.
-Gals are fascinated by Strawberry ShortCake and Barbie Dolls.
-You learn to laugh like The Count in Sesame Street.
-Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, The Three Investigators, Famous Five and Secret Seven are probably the thickest story books you ever thought you have read. Even Sweet Valley High and Malory Towers.
-You brought every single book to school, even though there was one thing called the timetable.
-The most vulgar thing you said was asshole and idiot and THE MOST EXTREME WAS 'super white'... you just couldn't bring yourself to say the hokkien relative.
-Catching was the IN thing and twist as the magic word.
-Your English workbooks was made of some damn poor quality paper that was smooth and yellow.
-Waterbottles were slinged around your neckand a must everywhere you go.
-Boys loved to play soccer with small plasticballs/bottles in the basketball court.
-Teng-teng, five stones, chapteh, hentambola, pepsicolaonetwothree and zero point were all the rage with the girls and boys too...
-Science was fun with the balsam and the angsana being the mostimportant plants of our lives, guppies and swordtail being the most important fish.
-Who can forget Ahmad, Bala, Sumei and John, eternalized in our minds from the textbooks. Even Mr Wally & Mr.Yakki. What abt Miss Lala??? And Zaki and Tini in Malay Textbooks.
-you had 'good citizen' textbooks, with the good boys and girls named xiaoming, zihua and meimei.
-you even had a little green book to keep track of your good behavior where your teachers would mark against the box that said "well done!" or "keep it up!"
-you carry out experiments of our own to get yourself badges forbeing a Young Zoologist/Botanist/Chemist/Physicist/Meteorologist etc.
- the g-shock/baby-g were the most prized possessions for the girls/boys.
-Every Children's day and National day you either get pins or pens with 'Happy Children's Day 1993' or dumbfiles with 'Happy National Day 1994'.
-In Primary six you had to play buddy for the younger kids like big sister and brother.
- my favourite fishball noodles costed only 50cents!
-Your form teacher taught you Maths, Science and English and Pastoral care.
-The worksheets were made of brown rough paper of poor quality, with the national values written in english, chinese, tamil and malay at the back.
-we loved the PETS course book cos we would have to spot the particular animal in the book. so fun! and we loved MOMO monsters. anyone remembers? haha.
-School dismissal time was normally around 1 pm.
-There would be spelling tests and mental sums to do almost everyday.
- you had a blue exercise book called, 'SCIENCE flash'. and you learnt to spell bougainvillae
-art lessons consisted of collecting toilet rolls and papier maches n sticking them to tissue boxes.
-You freak out when the teacher tells you to line up according to height and hold hands with the corresponding boy or girl.
-Collecting and battling erasers was a pastime for boys. and some girls.
-Autograph books were loaded with "BestWishes", "Forget Me Not", and smallpoems like "Bird fly high, hard to catch.Friend like you, hard to find".
-Class monitors and prefects loved to say "You talk somemore, I write your name ah!"
-they also caught you for running in the corridors.
-everyone had to read a book in assembly. if you didn't bring a book or were caught talking, prefects will ask u to stand up.
-we paid the bus auntie bus fare in vanguard sheet cards put into plastic pockets with the money inside
-whenever we forgot to bring our homework, we bring home blue little notebooks for our parents to sign.
-There were at least 40 people in one class.
-Large, colourful schoolbags were carried.

time flies. it has been 8 years since i have graduted from my primary school. i can still remember the primary school song!
we belong to tao nan school and we always obey the school ruless.....
hahaha.
